Boarding
Leaving your pet while you’re away can be stressful—let our qualified, compassionate staff give them a safe, comfortable, “home away from home.” We offer clean, spacious accommodations for both dogs and cats, personalized care, and the reassurance of veterinary support on-site. Space fills quickly, especially around holidays, so we encourage booking early.
Our Boarding Facility
- Separate boarding areas for dogs and cats
- Temperature-controlled indoor spaces
- Large, fenced outdoor area for exercise and fresh air
- Dogs walked a minimum of three times daily
- Regular monitoring by kennel staff and veterinary support staff
- Immediate access to medical care if needed
What to Bring for Your Pet’s Stay
When bringing your pet for boarding, please ensure you pack the following items:
- Food: Provide enough of your pet’s regular food for the duration of their stay, along with any special dietary instructions. If food is not provided pets are normally fed Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and Skin.
- Medications: If your pet requires medications, be sure to pack them in their original containers with clear instructions for administration; additional fees apply for medication administration.
- Comfort Items: Up to 2 labeled toys, labeled bedding, or comfort items to help them feel more at ease during their stay.
- Emergency Contacts: Provide contact information for yourself and an alternate emergency contact in case we need to reach you during your pet’s stay.
We provide clean bedding, bowls, and daily care; please avoid treats or items that cannot be consumed quickly (such as rawhides).
Vaccination Requirements
All pets must be current on required vaccinations. Ideally the vaccines are administered at least two weeks prior to boarding unless medically administered upon arrival. Records may be emailed to [email protected] or faxed to 785-823-0143.
Dogs must have:
- Rabies
- DHPP
- Leptospirosis
- Bordetella
- Negative fecal test within the last year
Cats must have:
- Rabies
- FVRCP
- Negative fecal test within the last year
We are unable to board pets under 6 months old.
Drop-Off & Pick-Up Hours
Drop-Off Times (only during normal business hours)
- Monday–Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Pick-Up Times (allowed during urgent care)
- Monday–Thursday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
- Friday & Saturday: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM
- Sunday: 9:30 AM – 8:30 PM
Holiday Boarding
Due to high demand, holiday bookings require cancellation at least two days in advance. A $25 fee may apply to late cancellations. You must cancel by close of business two days prior to your boarding date.
