Town and Country Animal Hospital was established in Salina in 1960 and has been in its present location since 1977.
Dr. Karen Hale-Young purchased the clinic from Dr. King in 1987 and Town and Country Animal Hospital has now grown into a five veterinarian, full-service facility offering the most progressive and up-to-date treatment for dogs, cats and exotic pets throughout Salina and the surrounding communities. Your pet’s health and well being is very important to us and we take every step to give your pet the best possible care including emphasis on nutrition and preventative health care.
On April 1st, 2019 Town and Country Animal Hospital received its Fear Free Practice Certification and was the first Hospital in Kansas, Oklahoma and Nebraska to achieve this step to be a part of a new initiative sweeping veterinary medicine. Fear Free was designed to ease the stress, fear, and anxiety that many pets, and in turn, their humans experience while visiting the veterinarian. The Fear Free training and certification program helps veterinarians and entire practices modify their procedures, handling and facilities to help pets feel safe and comfortable while receiving the medical care they need.
“Let’s go to the vet!” This is a quote from Dr. Marty Becker who founded Fear Free.
Beyond great pet care, we strive to make our clinic as comfortable and kid-friendly as possible and attempt to keep a very calm environment so your pet can relax in the waiting room – with a seperated cat waiting area – and look forward to meeting his or her own veterinarian.
Our Team here at Town and Country Animal Hospital is proud to serve you and committed to educating our clients to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise. Town and Country Animal Hospital stays on top of the latest advances in veterinarian technology and above all, remembers that all animals and pets need to be treated with loving care in every check-up, procedure, or surgery.
